Diamond is our highest level of security rating. Followed by Gold, Silver, and Bronze, our rating system works like Olympic medals, but with Diamond at the very top for those who need the maximum level of security.
While we test everything from home safes to locks & wheel clamps, view our Pedal Cycle ratings for bike locks and Powered Cycle (Motorcycle & E-Bike) ratings page to find the best security for your ride.

Choosing the right Sold Secure rating/grading depends on what you are securing and where it is kept.
As a general rule, the higher the value of the item, the higher the rating you should aim for. Some insurers may also specify a specific grade.
For example, most bicycle and e-bike insurers may specify a minimum rating on the value of your ride. View our Pedal Cycle security ratings or Powered Cycle ratings to see which category your lock falls into.
Yes, Sold Secure Diamond is a higher rating than Gold. The main difference is in the tools used during our security testing; Diamond ratings uses an more enhanced tool list compared to Gold.
For example, in our Powered Cycle category, Diamond-rated products are tested against angle grinder attacks, whereas the Gold standard does not include angle grinders in the attack test.
The difference between Sold Secure Bronze and Silver ratings comes down to how long each product is tested for and the tools used during the test.
A Silver rating has a longer attack test time using an enhanced tool list, whereas a Bronze rating uses a shorter test time against a basic tool list.
